Park rating

We checked out Cedar key last March thinking we may spend this coming winter there. We were very disappointed in the Resorts/CGs we looked at. Old. Crowded. Worn out. Poorly landscaped unless you looked a bit inland. But then we found a place, a bit on the high side, but no screen-rooms or gazebos were allowed. That would not work for us. Most of the places we checked out would be OK for a long weekend or even a week, but not for the three months we spend in FL. The little village stores (and docks) were very sad, poor and tired looking. Places were boarded up. The nearest town was something like 25 miles away where there was shopping. We changed our minds about staying there and instead chose a place in the Ocala NF for only $265 a month with shopping 5 miles away.
