the monorail runs up and down the strip but quite a ways east. The stations drop you off at strategic hotel/casinos and you have to walk a LONG way from the monorail, through shopping malls, etc. to get to the casino/hotel. And it is a long way from one casino to the other, up/over the strip via ped. bridges, etc.
I'd suggest a central location to a few that you want to see (such as the show at Treasure Island) then park at one and walk the strip to the others. If you stay toward the front of the casinos you don't have to walk so "deep" or away from the strip.
