Parks near Laughlin, ca

Any recommendations for State/National parks near Laughlin, ca ? Looking for parks that aren't too expensive with fun activities for kids near Laughlin, Ca (we plan to stay for 1-2 days on the way to Grand Canyon) thanks

    FYI Laughlin is in Arizona.

Actually, Laughlin is in Nevada... hence all of the Casinos.

    :S

Across the river, you will find Bullhead City which is in Arizona.

Whichever of the three states located in that area you visit from May first through the end of September be prepared for triple-digit temperatures... 110+ is not uncommon.
  • I wouldn't really consider Laughlin as a fun destination for kids. There's not a whole lot to do there if you're not visiting the casinos or boating in the river.

I think you could find better places to spend those days before seeing the Grand Canyon. One destination that is always a hit with kids is Bearizona. It's a great animal park near Williams.
  • Dont know of any state or national park in the area.
I think the OP would know that and that it was Nevada, if they looked at a map and see that Laughlin isn't near anything except the Colorado River.
Since there's nothing but casinos there, they only thing for kids to do, is playing in the river.
Not a real family destination unless you're into water sports.
