Pets at Fort Wilderness Campground

We will be staying at Disney Fort Wilderness Campground with our dogs and cat. Has anyone camped there with your pets? If so, what was the check in process like? Did you have to present the dogs vaccination certificates at checkin?

Do you know what specific vaccinations are required for cats?
  • Starting a couple of months ago, all loops are pet loops. All have the plastic bag dispensers installed now for the pet owners to be used to pick up after their dogs.
  • As stated, let them know when making your reservation that you have a pet. Didn't need to show proof of vaccination, and if I remember correctly, they gave him a treat of some kind at check-in.
  • We have always had our dog there (last 16 years). It's best that they know you have one before you get there; so they can put you in a "dog loop". They have never asked for vac. cert. There is a $5 per day charge but sometimes they don't ask for that either. They can make any loop a dog loop; so don't worry about getting in one. They have a great dog park!
