Pfeiffer Big Sur (CA) SP Campground

Just happened to find a couple days open at the Pfeiffer Big Sur SP campgrounds (South) this week. Our first trip on Hwy 1. Any must-dos while we're in the immediate Big Sur area for two days? Also, anyone know if you can fill your FW tanks at the campground? Rather not travel with full FW tanks if we don't have to. BTW, we're traveling in an in-bed, cabover camper. Thanks!
  • There are no hook-ups at any site.
Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park has a dump station that includes potable water for freshwater tank fills.

    Have a good trip
  • I can't remember if the Pfeiffer spigots are threaded -- if not, be sure to carry a Water Thief so that you can hook your hose to a non-threaded faucet.

And must-dos? Other than hiking through the redwoods and McWay Falls and watching sunsets over the ocean and watching the whales spout out at sea, there is also great mountain biking at Andrew Molera and some good restaurants and (I think) live music.
  • downtheroad, profdant139, good to know there's potable water available, thanks. Profdant139, appreciate the heads-up on the Water Thief/Bandit. We'll make a point of picking one up before our trip.
  • You might want to check these links for information (if you haven't already made this trip!).
