Pine Grove Furnace State Park PA

A lovely park but well off 81 exit 37 on a hilly winding road. Absolutely no cell or LTE signal depending on which way trees are blowing.
There is free 24 hour WIFI at the store up by the entrance with electrical outlets and covered seating. Shows up as Century Link with a number. Password is icecream as of 2 days ago.
$42.50 a night for out of state with pets.
  • Pine Grove Furnace is a nice park. But we never paid that much. As a Pa resident, we get a 10% discount if over 62. But I believe we paid about $25.00.
  • Bucky, when we lived about 30 miles from there, that was our favorite state park. We also used to go there when my wife and I were dating and rent a canoe. It was interesting to talk to the thru hikers on the Appalachin Trail in the evenings down on the porch of the store. Did you check out the lake, that has to be some of the coldest water during the summer that we swam in. That price is just crazy.
