Both parks are excellent choices and so is the wine tasting! Seriously, if you want a quiet peaceful stay these parks are great. If you are into the dune buggies, 4x4s etc. then Pismo will probably be heaven for you. - wintersunExplorer III like both Morro Bay State Park and the state park near San Simeon. - ShaungExplorerI've been to Lopez Lake and we lived it.They have water slides for the kids and wild deer and turkeys walking around the campground.
- caseyhowardExplorerPismo Coast Village RV is about the best. Even the folks stay there are outstanding ... We loved our time there

Pismo Coast Village has turned into what far too many parks have in popular areas. Destinations for loud music, lots of drinking into all hours of the night and no enforcement of posted park rules. If that's what you are looking for . . . If not, mid-week when school is in session, it's the best in the area. After two very bad experiences there, and a very enlightening talk to one of the security personnel, I will not be back. Pismo Sands, Le Sage Riviera and Pacific Dunes, in that order are where we stay.
I simply have no idea what PCV you went to but you haven't described the PCV we make several trips a year too. I have young kids in school so most of our trips are even during the summer or holiday weekends. - WoodGlueExplorerPismo Coast Village has an 8 person security staff. All you need to do is pick up the phone and give them a call. End of trouble!
WoodGlue - tsetsafExplorer IIIIf you are not looking for frills then we always stay at La Sage Riviera. It is very quiet (mostly weekend retreats and seniors) and the pull thrus are wide. Only issue is it is tight to get in with a large rig. Walking distance to the beach and the boardwalk over to the Monarch Grove of Butterflies. You can see it here Funny the reviews match what I state above :) You can also inspect the rest here
Pismo is a great RV destination. Take your fat tire bikes and ride down the beach or better yet bring the 4x4 and drive down the beach :)! - shakyjayExplorer IIMy preference is to go up the road to Morro Bay State Park. If I stay in Pismo it is usually at the State Park but in the Oceano loop. They have water and 15 amp electric.

- clubhouseExplorerWe use both PCV and the State Park (North Beach CG) right next door several times a year. I prefer the space at the SP, but PCV is very well taken care of and has all the amenities.
