Place to stop near Rawlins, WY?

We leave for our Tetons/YNP next week. I would like to find a place to stop somewhere near Rawlins, WY. We will be coming in sometime between 8 pm - 10 pm, then leaving by 700 am.

Any suggestions on a safe place to spend the night?

WalMart NW corner at exit 215. Sinks Canyon visitor center in Lander worth a stop on 287 my favorite route into the Tetons.

I've Googled the heck out of the Sinks Canyon visitor center and all I can find is the state park. Is it in Lander?
  • ^^^^So you are saying you can stay overnight in the visitor center parking lot?
  • If you are in lander stay at the city park. Stay free for up to 3 days. Camping spots are right on the creek
  • We found a large rest area just east of Sinclair and stayed there.

There is also a Walmart in town that looks to allow RVs. The flying j is on the west side of town, and we went up 287.

    Thanks for the advice.
