Please tell me about Iowa

Thank you to those of you who have offered their positive opinions about Iowa. The things you have mentioned are exactly why I want to spend a month there (in addition to visiting my sister, and taking a photo of all 99 county courthouses). If anyone has any specifics on campgrounds I would really appreciate some specific reviews. I see there are quite a few State Parks and was wondering what the "personality" of these parks are. Are they quiet or party places. Do they feel spacious or do you feel like you are crammed together. Are there other places to camp other than the State Parks? We have not usually used RV parks, but if there are nice spacious/scenic ones we would consider those as well. Thank you for any and all info anyone offers. I appreciate you time and effort to provide me with good ideas for my trip, I am really excited and hope it comes to fruition.
