On our recent stay at Gizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone, MT (May 2006) we experienced some rude campers next to us. They invaded our space as they had two tents (one seen below), a large RV and two additional vehicles.
We tried to resolve the issue with the park staff in the morning as we couldn't find an after hours point of contact. The office staff agreed there was no after hours point of contact but their only resolution to the problem was to move us from our site to another one. We didn't see how that was a resolution to the problem since we weren't the ones spilling out of our site onto another one. Plus we were leaving that morning. We tried to resolve the problem with the park manager (Mark Crawford). He too wasn't very helpful as he relied on the small signs posted on the office doors as a means of finding an after hours camp host. The information about the camp host was the last line on the sign in smallest font than the other information contained on the sign. We had walked the camp several times during our stay. There was no signage in the park showing the location of the camp host. Clearly the management of this park is NOT customer orientated so you should consider this when making a decision where to stay on your next visit to Yellowstone NP when you stay in West Yellowstone, MT.
