Is it SAFE to camp in Stone Mountain? We were told by family members to avoid that area because of Drug/dealers/people and have done so but IS this area safe to camp?
I have camped at Stone Mountain twice. Once alone on an overnighter, and this last trip I was with a large group of friends with lots of kids. Both times I felt extremely safe.
This is a large resort, with lots of amenities and fun!! I didn't actually venture into the surrounding areas in Atlanta, so don't know about that.
