Lately there has been a lot of interest in viewing photos of the sites that different campgrounds have to offer. Let's start posting them to this thread and if there seems to be enough interest, perhaps we can make the thread a permanent sticky.

If you have recently posted photos of this sort, please re-post them here. If you have new ones to share, please do!

Don't forget to label the photos: Campground name, site #'s if you know them, area of campground, etc.

**A photo width of 500 works really well.

I am taking the liberty of copying here some recent photos submitted by member 'marites62'.

Fishing Bridge - This is site 60 in the B loop - back-in, full hookups (It can be tough for long trailers and 5th wheels):

More of the same site:

Colter Bay Village - This is site 40, Pull through, full hookups. It is at the end of the loop which was nice.

Will have to get my son to help in posting pics but had to reply to Sing4Mi in Fresno. There are tons of GREAT camp spots here in sunny Ca. that are not on top of one another. I must admit tho that to gain privacy you give up hook-ups. And in a lot of the national forest sites you have to have a small rv to fit in the sites. In your area ( I lived most of my life in Visalia) try Princess on the way to Hume Lake. Cedar Grove isn't too bad but a curvy road. Sugar pine at Tahoe is nice as Jed. Smith way up north Big Basin near Santa Cruz has some decent sites. For the most space and privacy NFS andState parks are the best. South state coast parks are the worst. Actually asked for and got my money back from Carpenteria when I saw the K-mart parking lot they called a campground. Spent a wonderful week in a hotel in Santa Barbara instead and now never go south of Morro Bay. I do have to admit that the days of headin' out on Friday nite with no reservation are over.

I live in Socal and I agree. The coast is the pits. We might try a couple in the off season just to check it out. We have been using state and county parks and they have been great, and yes you usually do need to have a reservation. There are alot of beautiful places in Socal and we have just started.
