Lately there has been a lot of interest in viewing photos of the sites that different campgrounds have to offer. Let's start posting them to this thread and if there seems to be enough interest, perhaps we can make the thread a permanent sticky.

If you have recently posted photos of this sort, please re-post them here. If you have new ones to share, please do!

Don't forget to label the photos: Campground name, site #'s if you know them, area of campground, etc.

Picture Posting Help

**A photo width of 500 works really well.

I am taking the liberty of copying here some recent photos submitted by member 'marites62'.

Fishing Bridge - This is site 60 in the B loop - back-in, full hookups (It can be tough for long trailers and 5th wheels):

More of the same site:

Colter Bay Village - This is site 40, Pull through, full hookups. It is at the end of the loop which was nice.

On Ocracoke Ferry crossing Pamlico Sound in NC. Sept 2001. Not much room, and not good site if you get sea sick. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is where we camped after crossing on the ferry. Whispering Pines Morehad City, NC Sept. 2001. I'm sorry, I don't remember the site #.

This was taken in April 2006 at Camp Hatteras Rodanthe, NC (OBX). I was standing on the boardwalk looking at the cg. We are the brown MH, and we are in the same loop that site 58 is in. We were also here April 2007 and were in the exact same spot as 2006.

I read this topic last night for the first time and IT'S GREAT!!! Reading camping reviews is nice, but seeing pictures of actual sites is awsome! Thank you for starting it!

We took a vacation Sept. 2001 with our first camper, and I took a picture of each site we were at. I, for some reason, have only taken a couple of pictures of our since after 2001. Believe me, that is going to change!

I'm going to post all that I have, and I'm very new at this, so be patient with me.

These were at Rustic Acres Campground in Clarion, PA. I don't remember the site #, but they were taken Sept. 2001.

BTW...It was a great trip. The CG is just a very short walk to the water park and amusement park. We'll probably try the newer section next time...seemed to be a bit less congested.

You wouldn't have the GPS coordinates for Red Feather Lakes would you? I just bought a Lowrance Iway entry level GPS and I'm addicted to being told where to go! And. How to get there!

Palmtree,

Sorry, no GPS directions, just some old fashion kind...how we went with a Rand McNally-map. LOL. :W

From Ft. Collins, CO....you take US-287 North. That road will come to a fork...at REDFEATHER LAKES RD (CR-74E)JACKASS RD. Continue to follow REDFEATHER LAKES RD to the left. Then continue on and you will come to the Redfeather Lakes area.

Lakes: Dowdy, West Lake and Bellaire will come up along that road. Then you will come to Deadman Road (left I believe) and the area we were in is down that road a bit. It is tucked into the forest...where we camped.
HAPPY CAMPING!!

PalmTree,

Yep! That fire-ring/pit was there when we got to the campsite. It was soooooo full of ash...other campers just kept building it higher! LOL.:B
