Lately there has been a lot of interest in viewing photos of the sites that different campgrounds have to offer. Let's start posting them to this thread and if there seems to be enough interest, perhaps we can make the thread a permanent sticky.

If you have recently posted photos of this sort, please re-post them here. If you have new ones to share, please do!

Don't forget to label the photos: Campground name, site #'s if you know them, area of campground, etc.

Picture Posting Help

**A photo width of 500 works really well.

I am taking the liberty of copying here some recent photos submitted by member 'marites62'.

Fishing Bridge - This is site 60 in the B loop - back-in, full hookups (It can be tough for long trailers and 5th wheels):

More of the same site:

Colter Bay Village - This is site 40, Pull through, full hookups. It is at the end of the loop which was nice.

Four Mile Creek State Park (near Niagara Falls, NY)
Site Number 280
we loved the open field behind us and we had no neighbors on one side - the other side neighbors were about 4 resort sized campsites away - very spacious

Even though it's not a lake front site we still had a wonderful view

Canyon of the Eagles is one place we've always wanted to check out. They have cottages, a lodge, RV park and campground plus lots to do.

Thanks for the suggestion, Jeff. Their website looks great. We'll be at the mercy of Southwest and rent-a-car this trip, so the lodge would work well.

It's kinda close to Bend, but how would you get there from there? Yeah, probably get there from Austin. We used to drive out to Burnet and Lake Buchanan from Georgetown when we were courting in college. What a neat area.

Hello David,
First of all thanks for teaching the kids. We call that a barn. We live in Austin but, get out to Bend as often as we can. A local Texas guy, Wayne Diven, builds those barns (www.wdmb.com). He does an excellent job and you can design and order off his web site. I would highly recommend him if you weren't so far away. I had an old post with pictures of the construction. If you wanted more details, you could look up my old post, I think it's my first one.

OK, I'm a fan.
Found all your early photos, read all your posts, and you guys have a great family thing going. Appreciate all the good info, cooking tips (a love of mine), and local Hill Country lore. We visit our Texas family a couple of times each year and may make a run up through your area in early March.
Thanks again, David

Hey Hec,

Dang! A barn, you say! I sorta hoped to hear "Sunproof, northerproof, floodproof, full-hookup, family outpost with room for visitors.

Anyhow, thanks for the reply. Now I know a little more about the Colorado Bend Park and other things upriver from the Great Lakes of Texas. I'll check on your friend's website and see what else I can learn.

Happy trails,
David

This is at Brightman Flat campground, Dardanelle, Ca. (hwy 108, Sonora pass)
There are no hookups at this CG, but water, sewer dump and store is about 1/2 mile away. Right behind trailer is the Stanislaus River.

See 'Ya on top

We love it up there. My DW's folks live in Columbia so we are up there a lot in the summer (sometimes dropping off DW with mom and the boys and I head up into the hills!!)

Looks like there is some nice snow fall up there this year. The river should be great this summer!!!

Have you ever stayed at Baker Campground? We like it cause it's close to Kennedy Meadows and we've taken the horseback trips from there.
