  • if you don't have any luck in quartzite, head east to black rock r.v.
they have a nice field... (i helped build it).
  • If you're on the RC Groups forum, post this question there as well. one of the Quartzsite residents and his wife (the club treasurer) are very active there and will likely respond directly.
    He did for me.

Thanks Jeff, I have been on RCGroups for a couple of years. Mostly on MultiRotor Electronics. Which forum did you ask on?
    Thanks

Don't remember, I think it was that one. Lemme go back and see what I can find.

I have an F/550 I'm bringing, but need to update the FC firmware. DJI had so many problems with random fly-aways I chickened out for almost a year.
  • From what I've read, most flight controllers have had similar issues.
I have not been able to afford a Naza. I have a Rabbit I and two Crius AIOP's one V1 and one V2.
The V1 is on a DJI 450 Clone and the V2 is on an 550 alien/dead cat frame that I'm building.
Too much fun. I also have a 32" wing.
Living in a bus limits the size of everything.

The new firmware is now apparently fast and smart enough to take care of a failed engine or spun prop on the Hex with essentially no affect other than payload is reduced. I'll probably load and flight test out in Q. Don't think I'll have any time before that

Here is the guy in Q that looks like he's moved. But he will know whazup with the field:
    DXSTICKMAN
  • Thanks Jeff,
Good luck with the firmware update.
When do you think you will get here?

Friday (mebbe Thurs) before the show.
Better make sure I have a spare set of props. I doubt I'll find these anywhere within 200 miles
