Redwoods & Sequoia

Looking for campground suggestions for seeing the Redwoods and Giant Sequoia's. Class A 40 foot towing a Chevy pickup. Need full hook ups with 50 amp. Will be in area mid Sept., will we need reservations that time of year. Thanks in advance for your answers.
  • Sequoia RV Ranch in Kaweah (Three Rivers) is outside the national park. It is our favorite place to stay when visiting Sequoia Natl Park. It's a rustic RV Park next to the Kaweah River. An easy drive to the park for sight seeing. We like space 55 it has 50 amp pedestal. Here's the website:

  • As you know The Sequoias and the Redwoods are far apart, close to 500 miles. The Redwoods are on the California and Oregon Coast while the Sequoias are on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada range in California,at 5000 to 8000 ft.

If you are going to see both it will be a really nice trip. Mid September is getting close to the end of summer for the school kids, but to be safe I would get reservations.

    In the Redwoods

This Place is Big Rig Friendly as are the people that run it,and with a Toad a great base to explore the Avenue Of Giants

Have fun and enjoy our Great State.

This is also our choice for seeing the Sequoia trees. The owners are proud of what they do and are good people. They work well with their customers. For the Redwoods we recommend The Redwood RV Resort in Crescent City CA. It sets in the redwoods and is close to the National Park. What we liked about the park is that they had sites where you could pull in between the redwoods and not see your neighbors because of the natural ferns that are huge. Everything is natural and the setting is beautiful. Enjoy your trip.
