Reserved at Greystone RV Park in Pinnacle NC

Hopefully I can get spring break off this next year and we are thinking of doing a trip to DC/NY. But we will need to take the motohrhome out for a weekend before then. Fancy gap might be a good place.

Well, it rained just after grilling supper Friday night and was raining and misty through the nite. We ended up just heading out and driving up the parkway to Meadows of Dan. Gotta say, that section of the parkway is a let down compared to Asheville and Boone areas. We had Mexican for lunch in Mt. Airy and just shopped around.
This was a very nice, but small CG. The owner was very open with his plans to expand to possibly 30 sites in the future. He also wants to open a clubhouse with some recreation and an area by the fishing pond. That would really make it more kid friendly. It's a great place to hang out after going hiking or sightseeing during the day. We left early today because of the fog and mist. We had had enough if you know what I mean.
Mt. Pilot had a nice little downtown area. Went to Mt. Airy and ate some more delicious Miss Angel's baked goods.
This would be a great place for several of us to meet up and hang out since it's so small. :)

I'd love to meet up at Fancy Gap KOA next spring some time. We are definitely gonna hit up Miss Angel's bakery in Mt. Airy. That stuff is unbelievable.

We like Fancy Gap as well. Not the best park we've been too, but it's ok for what it is.

1 place normally does not offer everything you like. You just have to decide what you will take and what you will accept from each place.
Wooded sites normally means tighter turns and quarters.

We haven't been to Mayberry. I kind of agree with St Clairm about the big field thing. But we won't let it stop us, lol. I know that Woody (Wills250PSD) likes it. We should all meet up there sometime next year when it gets warmer and we dewinterize, lol.

Check this park out Greystone RV park Not the cheapest at $48 a night, but looks to be very nice. They're really isn't anything to do there but go fishing, but we're really just planning on spending the days away anyway.

Does look like a great place. We will have to check it out sometime. Probably when it gets warmer, lol. Already winterized the motorhome. Still might use it, but if we do, it will probably be at myrtle beach.
