Personally given your schedule I'd stay in Pismo Beach for a couple days ( RV parks to choose from), then move to Dockweiler (near Torrance for a couple more). If you do stay halfway, you'll have to contend with traffic at times on the southern leg to Torrance and some traffic through the heart of Santa Barbara going north.
