- garyemunsonExplorer IIZephyr Cove RV park is hands down the BEST place at Tahoe. Better reserve now, though! It will not disappoint.
- VeebyesExplorer IISouth Lake Tahoe Rec Area, city park was decent.
- DarkSkySeekerExplorerI have stayed at Meeks Bay - full hookups - less than a 5 minute walk to the Lake
- RedRollingRoadbExplorerAnother vote for Zephyr Cove. Been 9 years ago but then the restaurant across the street was decent. Paddle boats available, swimming area for kids. Had to cross the highway but it has a signal light.
- suprzExplorerBeen reading up on Zephyr Cove, seems that the location is great, but the sites are tight and very unlevel
- ppineExplorer III live a little more than a half hour from the Lake. I have never camped there. It is very crowded in summer and hard to make a reservation even months ahead of time.

Looking for a rv park close to Lake Tahoe. It doesn't have to be a resort, but water/electric would be nice
In addition to the good advice from previous posters, should you want to stay just outside the Lake Tahoe basin there are a couple very nice RV parks in the Carson City, northern Douglas County area as well as in the Truckee area. Tahoe can be very busy certain times of the year so make reservations early. - suprzExplorerWe will be traveling from Glacier NP to Sparks NV, then to Lake Tahoe then... Still to be determined

If you want to stay inside the Tahoe basin this summer, get reservations now. It is a very popular place.
