RV Park in Bernalillo,NM

I was told there was a city park for rv's in this town. Has anyone stayed there and if so, can I get some info. Need to be in the area a couple of days.
  • Yes, there is. We have stayed there many times when it was a NM state park but haven't been by it in years.

It is just off US 550 northbound but going west there & right after crossing the Rio Grande (not just after but soon) on your right.

It was always pretty nice in the past.

Same exit as for Coronado State Monument.

Post Edit (after site given by post below): http://www.townofbernalillo.org/depts/campground.htm

I've never been to it but have read good reports about Cochiti Lake COE campground, between ABQ & Santa Fe: Cochiti Lake CG

    Ditto with Descriptions & Photos
  • If you need to be there from October 4 through October 14, then you will be out of luck. The park fills up for the Balloon Fiesta and it's almost impossible to get a spot.

They have 6-7 nice sites as you enter the rv park and then some nice sites further down the line. A couple sites are very slanted and difficult to level a large motorhome home on. I know, I tried and failed.

Give Bob Stevens a call on his cellphone: 505-980-8256

    Good luck.
  • Here's some info for that city campground. Will certainly be filled during Balloon Fiesta but most times will have some sites open. Another option virtually across the street in Rio Rancho is another RV campground that also gets good reviews. RvParkReviews.com is pretty accurate for the RV parks and campgrounds locared in this region of NM. Happy Camping!!!
