- road2002runnerExplorerLa Paz IS nice - hard to get a river site in March - stay on the Az side (Not the Calif side)Lots of parks between Parker & Havasu.
BBT - vermilyeExplorerAlong with Buckskin Mountain State Park, There is Cattail Cove state park about 1/2 way between Parker & Lake Havasu City, another nice Arizona state park on Lake Havasu. I've also stayed at La Paz county park. They don't take reservations, and at times the water & electric sites are full, but there are usually dry camping sites available. They have showers & a dump station.
Posted below are links to my blog postings for the weeks I spent at each park in 2014.
Buckskin Mountain SP
Cattail Cove SP
La Paz County Park - wgriswoldExplorerThank you for your advice. I will try to make reservations.

You can't beat Buckskin Mountain State Park. We go there 6 to 8 weeks a year. Beautiful well maintained park right on the Colorado River. It is 11 miles north of Parker.
We had a great stay at Buckskin MT SP a couple years ago and recommend highly if in the area.

When stopping in Havasu we stay at Havasu Falls RV Resort which is right on HWY 95N....nice location!

- Community AlumniLa Paz County Park in Parker has a campground right at the water's edge and the cost is very reasonable. Chances are you will be able to get a spot since the campground has quite a few sites. Good luck!
- hotjag1Explorer IIFriends of ours are going to be in Havasu for a few days the 1st week of February and said that they were able to get a site at the Islander RV Resort, which is out on the island. Convenient to everything in town. They may have openings for your dates also.

- AcampingwewillgExplorer IIMy memory is terrible but I think that Lake Havasu has a State Park that has partial hook up's? I'd suggest Emerald Cove in Earp, Ca(across the river from Parker) but it's a membership park which may allow public access or you could suffer through there presentation get a free three night stay. NO, I'm not a member but I love it there through my RPI membership.
