RV parking in Reno and Las Vegas

We've done the overnight boondocking thing in Mesquite on the way to Zion, and it was actually pretty decent. You just need to get there early enough to secure a spot. They also have a FHU RV area, but it's not free and it's harder to find availability.

The vibe in Mesquite is very different from Vegas though. It all depends on what you're looking for.

Add Clark County Shooting range, off strip but very nice view of the city nights. As a side that is the nicest range I have seen in my life, RV park is by the skeet range. Call ahead for entry & site assignment.

Casinos don't seem to realize the win-win if they allow RVs to park on their lot. As Walmart do as RVers shop for their supplies in the store.

The couple asking don't hit the tables but most likely would go into fine dining in the casino's hotel. They are sort of foodie and would always like to explore authentic Japanese cuisine in the area even if a little pricey. And in case they have too much sake and kampai, would like to spend overnight on the lot to avoid citations or the danger of driving with high blood alcohol levels.

I always email security for the casino property I will park overnight in. The answer will change from time to time. The city of Reno has an ordinance for overnight parking/sleeping in your RV. Some Casinos look the other way as long as you don't look like you are sleeping in your RV.

Reno has a lot of BLM land nearby just park there.

Mainstreet Station, downtown has a inexpensive pay RV parking lot... nothing fancy but 50 amps.

I would melt in that area without power for the air conditioner. Not being a casino fan, I see little reason to spend time in the area. I did stay one night to meet and eat with some online friends.
