RV Parks around Pismo Ca.

Although its not in Pismo Beach, Morro Bay State Park is not too far away. Most of the the dry camping spots are pretty spacious and there is a dump station on the premises. There are some sites with partial hook-ups but in my opinion, those are narrow and a little tight. I'm not sure exactly what they offer, but the park has a small marina right across the street from the campground. I know there is a restaurant there, and I think they might also rent kayaks there. The campground is situated on a scenic old golf course very close to the ocean. The town of Morro Bay is very quaint with lots of shops and restaurant and a spectacular view of Morro Rock. Its within walking distance of the campground (about a 10-15 min walk.)Check it out.

If you don't mind a 15 min drive, Lopez Lake SP is the place we love to stay while visiting Pismo area. It's located just in the foot hills above Arroyo Grande (Spell?). The park is really nice.

If being right in Pismo isn't a requirement, Lake Lopez is just south and back into the hills. We like that the fog burns off earlier and comes back later so longer "nice" weather. Also tons of wildlife around.

I am at PCV right now. Holiday is directly across the street, and a bit careworn and some of the sites back up right onto the 101. But, should be OK. Very convenient to town, etc.

It's not too late to get into the park across the street from PCV. The name is Holiday RV Park. I have never stayed there before but our club wants to go there in May. PCV is booked for the weekend we want. I called Holiday RV Park and they will not accept reservations for 2014 until 2014. I'm going to call them tomorrow to see if I should call to reserve our weekend on January 1 or 2. FYI, I've read the reviews online and the common thread is that the spaces are tight.

We also spent a few days at Pacific Dunes. Nice place and reasonable since we were Thousand Trails zone pass members and got a reduced rate for the Encore park.

We like Pismo Sands RV Park too. We've stayed there a lot in the past few years.

Before we bought into PCV we used to camp here Port of San Luis all the time. They have upgraded a lot of their sites and have raised their prices considerably since we stayed there but if you can get a site "on the hill" it's hard to beat.

WE've stayed at Pismo Sands RV Park. Works fine for us.

We enjoyed Pacific Dunes in Oceano. It's an Encore park but you can use RPI or Passport America. Get the upper level if you can....Dennis
