RV parks in Minnesota

Can anyone recommend a good campground between Minneapolis and Rochester (general area) for a fifth wheeler. Would like to park for a month or two. Thanks in advance.

Mike
  • Check out rvparkreviews.com. We’ve stayed and the Minneapolis Southwest KOA a few years ago. Typical KOA had us packed in pretty tight. So tight that we couldn’t deploy the awning.
  • MN has a lot of State parks with small sites but few private RV parks with full hook ups. More choices across the border in Wisc.

    B.O.
  • We travel to the Rochester area usually once a year to visit the wife's relatives. We have used Autumn Woods RV Park in Rochester and it is a very nice campground. The only downside is the owner's/staff failed charm school. We were there last summer for a week to attend a relative's wedding. I had one wheel of my truck about 6 inches on the grass and was told in very direct terms that was against the rules. I had to move it and from then on was checked every time we parked. I think they are so caught up in enforcing the "rules" that they forget they are depending on us rule breakers to help pay the bills.

I would still recommend it as they are big rig friendly and prices are reasonable. It is a very well maintained park also.
  • Moved to RV Parks, Campgrounds, and Attractions forum from 5th wheels.

    I'm confused!!!

It's only 86 miles between the 2 cities. Why in between??
  • Thank you for the replies and recommendations. Our son, wife and our grandson live in a small town between Minneapolis and Rochester and ideally we would like to be close to them, thus it isn't important to be near either of the larger cities.

Since you know what town you would like to be near I also suggest searching RV Park Reviews for something close.

    Safe travels.
  • What is the name of the "small town" you would like to be near?

    FROM THE NORTH:

    - Dakotah Meadows in Prior Lake
    - Lebanon Hills in Apple Valley
    - Refuge RV Park in Hastings
    - Cannon Falls Campground in Cannon Falls
    - Lake Byllesby Regional Park west of Cannon Falls
    - Covered Bridge Park in Zumbrota
    - Hidden Meadows in Pine Island
    - Tilly's American Traveler in Oronoco
    - Autumn Woods in Rochester

I have visited all except Hidden Meadows. Many MN RV Parks are "seasonal" and are filled up in summer.
  • Go to - Cannon Falls Campground in Cannon Falls and you can visit the CF Winery and a new brewery right across the street from the winery called Tilion....
  • JNW57 - Would like to be near Mazeppa, looking at Hidden Meadows now. Checking into the reservation process. - Mike
