RV Parks in Montreal and Quebec City

We will be visiting both cities (with a 27'TT) between 7/28 and 8/5, 4 nights near each one. Can anyone suggest an RV park/CG within a reasonable commute into the cities. We will pay what it takes, but prefer parks without pools, playgrounds, etc. We need 15 amp (no AC) and water. Sewer conn is preferable but not required.

We usually drive to a subway/bus stop and take public trans into the city for museums, parks, restaurants, etc.

Also suggestions of things to do/see/eat are welcome, both in the cities and the countryside.

Thanks!

We have stayed at both these excellent suggestions and found them located perfectly for exploring these 2 fascinating cities.

If your planning on doing day trips into Montreal & Quebec City you want to be relatively close. So you will probably be in some urban to suburban areas.

We did a loop last summer through Quebec.

Montreal we stayed at Camping Alouette, there is a local ferry terminal about 25 minutes from the campground
where we did day trips to old Montreal, lots of attractions, Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History is a must visit. The problem is highway traffic around Montreal is just awful. actual drive time to the ferry treminal without traffic would be less time but actual drive time will be probably be closer to 1 HR or more. Next time we might look into the subway to save time.

For Quebec City, stay on Canadian Hwy 20 east to Camping Transit in Levis. Take the campground shuttle or do a easy drive to the Ferry parking for old Quebec. Plan at least 2 days for old quebec as there is much to see. If your into biking there is lots of bike trails around Levis and you can also take your bikes onto the ferry and bike "lower" old Quebec, then lock them up and walk up to the upper part of old quebec.

Don't forget to do a day trip to Montmorency Falls (also has a super Zip line if your interested)

Hope this helps

OP again. Our trip takes us from Algonquin Park to Ottawa, then to Montreal, then Quebec City, then south to Maine. We have flexibility on dates, and don't mind driving out of the way to see or stay in scenic places. Any suggestions along this general route?

Especially welcome scenic secondary roads over freeways when there's something to see.

OP here. I didn't mean we didn't WANT AC, but that we don't HAVE AC! The **** thing broke on day 2 of a four month trip, and we were already booked out a couple of weeks and couldn't hang around in the US to have a new unit shipped to us. Have decided to wait til returning to US to get it fixed, seems it will be much less expensive. So we have been suffering, but looks like we will have to do so for another couple of weeks.

Of course, we don't mind staying at places that have amenities, just wanted those responding to know they just weren't something we needed.

Thanks for the suggestions, hopefully there will be a few more.

Are you sure about not needing AC? It's been pretty warm in Quebec over the last month and the forecast when you're in Montreal is calling for high 80's, low 90's! In Quebec city it's a little cooler but still in the mid to high 80's! Plus it'll be very humid.
Anyhow, a great campground just across the river from Quebec city is Camping Transit. A really good basecamp for touring Quebec city. They even have a shuttle that'll take you to the ferry that docks right in the center of the historic district. Go to https://campingtransit.com/en/ for details.
Haven't stayed much around Montreal but there is a KOA just west of Montreal
that is nice.
Sorry, I know you said no pool but both have a pool, and playground and 30 amp full hook ups.
If I was you I would splurge on the 30 amp for the AC.
