- Limit4ExplorerLindenwood park. Good camping and a good website for info.
- HammerheadExplorerThe snowpile might be melted by now. It was on the news last week and I remember saying we should drive by there to get a photo of its final days since we have photos from the spring.
It's where they haul snow from streets and sidewalks in parts of town where there is no room to push the snow on the boulevards.Johno02 wrote:

Well, it was a dump.
The other campers looked like tweakers.
Our dogs growled and then barked.
I would have rather camped at our local storage yard or maybe even the landfill.
In our recent 19 state trip (just under 11,000 miles), this was the only place we noped the hell out of.
We were there the first week of June. There were some high dollar MH and 5ers there and most everyone looked to be of an age to be retired. They certainly weren't druggies or transients. The park was also being added on to probably doubling the size. With such a difference in our experiences are you sure we're talking about the same place - dedmistonModerator

Last June we stayed a night in Casselton ND which is about 20 mi. west of Fargo. The Days Inn at exit 331 has a full hook up campground and the restrooms and showers are in the motel. Rate then was $44
Thanks, hornet28...I messaged that Days Inn and they said they still have that rv park (full HUs).
That Days Inn is pretty sketchy. It’s one of the few places we’ve pulled into and pulled straight back out again.
Which direction are you coming from / going to?
We are going to Cannon Beach, OR...and then through Montana and North Dakoto on way home to MS
I would pass through Fargo and stop in Minnesota. We really wanted to stop in Fargo. We were heading West and had to continue for hours before we found a good stop.
The place where we stopped ended up being weird about dogs.
North Dakota had the dubious mixed record of (1) the first place we bailed on, (2) the first place that hated dogs and creeped us out, and (3) our very favorite stop on the whole trip just outside the Roosevelt park and near the Montana border. - dedmistonModerator
