Hid-a-way is OK... very high percentage are permanent units. The park is on the Little Manatee River and has some docks. It's aways off US 412 so there is little traffic noise. Nearby is Tampa South RV, it's on US 41 ( more traffic noise) and also on the Little Manatee River. It's more modern than Hid-a-way
but spaces are pretty tight. If you want a more rustic setting and can deal with electric and water with a dump station, look at E.G. Simmons park in Ruskin. It's on Tampa Bay and most of the RV sites are on canals leading to the bay.
If you have any specific questions on any parks, let me know.
Been at Hide - A Way several weeks now - great park with lots of activities, sites are nice and wide - only thing lacking is cable
Price is right and people are very very friendly some of the sites are between permanent people. The 500 numbered site are about all actual movable rv's and quite wide
Note Tampa South RV down the street is not Pet friendly and right on the Highway -
like others have said we are not real close to St Pete or Tampa
