- jnharleyExplorerShenedoah River State Park is great. Located near Skyline Drive in Bentonville, VA. It is a newish state park and some of the sites have full hook ups. There is a steep downgrade to get down to the campground and it is big rig friendly. We will be staying there again.
- LumpyOatmealExplorerWe stay at the Luray KOA several times a season (will be there this week). They have the best prices of any KOA that we have used. Go to there reservations window on there website to see there prices. They have several prices for regular & deluxe sites. Clean well kept campground close to north end of Skyline Drive or you can access the drive off Rt.211 (closer drive).

Interesting how they hide the prices they charge. Pig in a poke??? They're obviously not proud of their prices.

Mike - RoyBExplorer IIWe love to stay at SHERANDO LAKES on the south end of the Natl Park. It has electric hookups but no water or sewer hookups. Water spigots are available all around the sites. Not sure how big a trailer the windy roads in the camp will handle... Might be some tight corners with a real big camper.
There are a couple of big sites on the Natl Parkway itself but none of them have hookups. Just water spigot and bath room facilities. Our favorite camp site inside the park is LOFT MOUNTAIN. It is not as congested as BIG MEADOWS...

- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerShenandoah National Park stretches 105 miles from Front Royal at the north to Waynesboro at the south. We like the KOA in Luray VA. Near Luray Caverns.
For other choices near Luray, I use www.woodalls.com and search for Luray VA then sort by distance. Also check out other cities on www.rvparkreviews.com
We also liked Candy Hill Campground in Winchester VA.
