Seattle campground

We are planning a trip west this Sept with a stop in Seattle to visit Space Needle, Pikes Street Market, etc. we need a overnight place to stay in our truck camper. Nothing fancy and hookups not needed but would like train, bus, etc access to the downtown area.

There is a KOA in Kent that has mixed reviews. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. After Seattle we will head south to Oregon coast.

Thanks.
  • nothing in the Seattle city area.

most recommended RV park for Seattle area, is Lake Pleasant in Bothell.

I agree. We have been there before and it was well worth the time and $$$.
  • Trailer Inns RV Park of Bellevue might work for you.

  • I second Lake Pleasant. We have stayed there several times and always been good. Just make sure to reserve and let them know the size of your rig. Most spots ar egood size but some are small.
  • If you have plans to tour the Olympic Peninsula you could stay anywhere from Port Townsend south and take the fast ferry to the waterfront of the Aquarium area, Pikes Market and catch the monorail for a fun few minute ride to the Space Needle. Then take the relaxing short trip back to your camper. It's a fun day!
