No kidding. Skidaway is one of the most popular GA state parks. OP, if you do have a reservation, be sure you pick up a few cans of bug spray on your way in. We always bring a can of Yard Guard and some Deep Woods Off.!

They really are nice, IF you can get one. I think there are only 17. I highly doubt that anyone could get one this close to Labor Day weekend. Maybe someone will cancel at the last minute.

Yes, we have a reservation for Friday through Monday. Our site is a 30A water and electric only. Being from FL and spending a lot of time on the Gulf Coast, we're very cognizant of the bugs.

Back from a good weekend at Skidaway, and it is definitely a place we'll have to go back to. Campground was quiet, well-kept, and had clean facilities. Didn't have much of a chance to explore the park, but what we saw was nice. Overall, the park doesn't look much different than the landscape we have here in FL. Our site was #75, and it was quite unlevel, but we managed fine.

We got there about 2 PM, which was perfect timing. The park was very empty, and I believe we were only about the 2nd or 3rd campers to check-in. However, the place turned into a zoo of people trying to find spots around 5/6 PM. Even into the night, it was still a little hectic. Note to self for our upcoming trip to Unicoi: get up early and go!!

What are the numbers of these 17 pull thru's with full hookups/cable and can you reserve a particular site? This is for a trip next year.

Go to the Georgia State Parks website and look at the campground map. It tells you right on that map which sites have sewer.

FWIW, almost every spot is a pull-through, though not in the conventional sense. Also, the bathroom facility on the back of the campground is the nicest, but its also the least attractive part of the park IMO (but also the least congested area as well).

How are the bugs early October?? Going to be there Oct 6 - 11.
