Skidaway or James Island?

We have a 33 foot class A motorhome. Looking for a spot for a week in midMarch. We do not tow a car. We like to bike and kayak and a little site-seeing (we could rent a car for a few days). Have narrowed it down to Skidaway Island or James Island County Park. Can anyone who has been to both make a recommendation?

We have done both and prefer James Island and Charleston.

We have never been to Skidaway, but we sure enjoyed sight-seeing in Charleston while camping at James Island. We followed a walking tour of Charleston which was in our AAA Tour Book.

We stayed at the Campground at James Island County Park a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! We chose it as Campground of the Week on our podcast of the same name. Here is a link:

You will not be disapointed if you choose James Island. They have miles of walking/bike paths, and also have a shuttle that would take you into Charleston, and return. One of the best parks we have ever visited. Enjoy your stay!
