We are thinking about spending a few days around Breaux Bridge or Henderson. I know that there are several swamp tours in the area. I remember one with a woman's name. Just can't remember that name. Any recommendations? We have been to a couple of places that serve Cajan Food. Been to Mulates. Any recommendations?

Stayed in Henderson the first weekend in May for the Crayfish Festival. We camped at Cajun Palms, very nice park, next trip we are going to try Pioneer or Poche RV park in Breaux Bridge. My favorite places to eat in Lafayette Prejeans's, Blue Dog for supper, Central Market for Lunch and T Coon's for Breakfast.In Henderson & Breaux Bridge Chicken on the Bayou, Poches, Café De Amis and for the best soul food try Creole Glenda's Kitchen Lake Martin's bird sanctuary just south of Lafayette is a neat place to visit. For night life go to La Possierres (MSP)Just walking around in old downtown of Breaux Bridge and visiting with the locals is a treat. Hope this helps

Bullfrogs and gators are nocturnal; the sounds alone would be worth the trip. Should be fun, but do bring the repellent like others have said. Or maybe a saddle to ride one of those swamp mosquitos!

If you go into the swamp after dark, make sure to bring extra heavy duty mosquito repellant/ they will carry you off.

These night tours are from sundown or a little later. They last for a couple of Hours. Just depends on what you want.

Looks like we are going to be a cajun Palms.

Got a couple of names for some good eats.

Crawfishtown, and Pats.
Got two different swamp tours and even a night tour.

I would highly recommend Pats fisherman wharf in Henderson. We stop here every rime we pass thru there.
