Spotlight 29 Casino on I-10 Indio?

We've stayed over night here years ago. Will be traveling through the area on our upcoming trip so want to make sure they still allow RV overnight parking. Anyone recently overnight here?
  • We just passed it early evening a few weeks ago and there were plenty of RV's and semi's parked there. So I would venture to say yes.
  • Another good one is the Morongo Casino just North up the road in Cabazon.
Acres & acres of free parking, shuttle if necessary & the lowest price fuel anywhere in the area.
  • Another option is Cottonwood Springs Rd. about 20 miles east of Fantasy Springs. It's the southern entrance to Joshua Tree NP but there is a lot of boondocking on the dirt roads outside the actual gate, north of I-10.

I only drove by there one time but I have a question. How level is the RV parking area at Morongo? It looked like there was a pretty good slope in that back lot used by RVs.

Spotlight 29 was open last year when we stayed and it is very level.

The parking area at the rear of the Morongo complex looks like it's on a slope, but it's actually pretty level; I've overnighted there several times with no problems.

From the west side it does appear to be on a slope but we always enter from the far eastern driveway - go past the casino eastward on frontage road to the last driveway - enter & go up the small hill and from there its a huge area thats level.
