State College, PA campgrounds/rv parks for Easter

I was hoping to find a State Park nearby, but none appear to be open until after April 10. My Niece is having Easter dinner in her new home and I don't want to have to drive the 2+ hours home on Easter. Any ideas for a campground within about 30 min. of State College? A search didn't turn up very much, which is sort of surprising unless I'm not searching correctly. Thanks, all.
  • Booked Gram and Paps today. Seems like the closest, nicest alternative. KOA doesn't open til the following week. Thanks all.
  • 2nd on Buttonwood CG. Nice place & good people that run it.

We've often stayed at the Bellefonte/State College KOA. It is one of the nicest and cleanest KOA's you'll find anywhere. Some of the sites can be awkward due them being "carved" into the side of a gentle slope. Just up Jacksonville Rd. from the I-80 interchange with Rt. 26, and almost next door to Gram & Pap's previously mentioned.
  • Buttonwood Campground opens the first weekend of April. It should be about 45 minutes from State College, in Mifflintown. It's a VERY nice campground.
  • never stayed there. I searched for open all year in that area on www.woodalls.com and then checked the reviews on www.rvparkreviews.com and it's looks like the only option. There was one other park 40 minutes away. Don't remember the name.

Try Gram & Paps in Bellefonte. Their website says they are now open year round.

Spent some time looking last night and found that one too. Ever stay there? Seems a little pricey, but beggars can't be choosers when options are few. Used to State Park rates but that isn't going to happen this trip.
