suggestions... 58 out of Bakersfield, ca

We usually stay in Bakersfield, but this time want to get a bit further before stopping. Suggestions? We are heading to Q in January.

I too would recommend staying at Boron and eating at Domingo's.

    I would too.
It's also good place to dump and fill before Q.
  • Just a little north of the 58, along the 14 is Red Rock Canyon State Park. Primitive, but wonderful! I also see boondockers around there.

Hey Kris, I see you traded up to a motor home too. Pardon my ignorance, but where is Q?

Keep going to Boron. Little rv park just off the highway. Not a great park but good elect and it is ok for overnight. It is a passport and I believe we paid about $10. Three blocks away is a good Mexican food restaurant. That is just about all there is in Boran. Think the park name is Arabian RV Oasis. It is no oasis. But again OK.

That would be Domingo's Mexican Restaurant.

Always stopped in there when out running around......great food/service.

  • There is a small RV park in Tehachapi (Mountain Valley Rv Park)out near the airport. The airport is small and not noisy.

It will be cold and perhaps windy in January. If you go to Tehachapi be sure to stop at the bakery.
  • if you are just looking for a place to sleep, the truck stop at kramer junction has lots of room
