Tablerock Lake Anyone?

In south Ar right now but headed for Tablerock St Park tomorrow. Just wondering about the weather and how high the lake was. We are in campground 2.We are really getting the rain in Ar. Heard on the weather radio for campgrounds in Degray, Daisy, and Catherine to be alert to rising water. Hope everyone stays safe. Lynn

Table Rock Lake level as of a few minutes ago is 917.50. That's only a couple of feet about pool so it's in great shape. We've kept a boat at the lake for many years and it's nice to have normal lake levels again! We've had either flooding (lake levels at or over flood stage of 931.) or levels so low we had a long walk to the dock.

The weather cleared off today and is supposed to be beautiful the next couple of days. We have a slight chance of rain from Tues. - Sat. but it's minimal. Next Sunday's (06/09) chances right now are around 60%. Of course, that can all change very rapidly, especially this time of the year and based on the current storm patterns.

We love Table Rock State Park. We prefer campground #1 but #2 has full hookups. Great walking/biking trail right next to the campground and if it's warm enough you can walk down to the water and swim.

    Enjoy your stay!

  • Be sure to stop in at the new Dewey Short Visitor Center (well, it is a year old now )next to the state park. It is run by the Army Corp and the Ozark River Heritage Foundation. They have a beautiful observation deck, great film to view, hands on activities, and a great gift shop. There is a nice walking/biking trail and benches to view the lake. There is no charge. They also offer tours of the dam four times a day. There is a charge for the tours. At times, they offer children's programs and other educational programs. We workcamped there last year and will be back again this year in Sept. and Oct. Great place! Be sure to tell them that the couple from Ky. said hello!!
  • Thanks for the replys! Just now got back online. We are here and it is beautiful!
