The latest word I got from Bromleys in Sumas was that a 4kg sealed bag of potatoes was permitted?? YMMV.

It has been reported to the State of AZ. that eleven grapefruit and 24 oranges are missing in the Yuma area. This is a all points bullet. Pass it on.
So big a world, so little time to see.

We just got Nexus cards. They told us no potatoes or anything with a pit, like peaches, avocados, etc. But oranges, grapefruit, apples, strawberries, blueberries, etc. could be brought back.

The whole world is a single marketplace. Ya' don't have to grow it to sell it.

Odd, when we were going thru customs and returning home to NY, they specifically asked if we had citrus.
NY is a protected market because you grow citrus there. They don't want Canadian citrus flooding the NY market.

I believe the OP is talking about bringing citrus INTO Canada from the US.

Been told we couldn't bring apples in, but they never even asked about citrus.

We winter in the south, but through the summer months we cross border shop every week on our way home from NY state. We buy the lions share of our groceries in the US and have never had an issue with any products. The biggest thing is having to occasionally pay duty on something we did not expect to but never a large amount.

"Frozen Grapefruit" juice isn't from plants native to Canada?

Correct. The rules pretty much state that you can bring in fruits and vegetables that aren't grown in Canada commercially. The limit appears to be 550 pounds per person! Just make sure you declare it if asked.

Be sure they are in the original "made in USA" packaging or have stickers on them.
