Tenn. COE Campgrounds

Has anyone stayed at either Defeated Creek COE Campground or Floating Mill Creek COE Campground near Cookeville, Tenn. Both look nice trying to decide between the two. Any information would be appreciated.
  • Defeated Creek is a nice campground, we have reservations there for August, made them back months ago. They do have some sites that are not reserved I think. Most of the Army Corp campgrounds are nice, maintained by contracters. I know the one at Cedar Creek, the guys come by and clean the campsite, then rake the gravels.
  • Defeated Creek COE park is one of the better COE campgrounds in Middle Tennessee as many sites have sewer hook up too. But you must reserve well ahead of time, especially in the summer. It stays FULL.
  • Defeated Creek is a very nice clean campground right on the lake. Big sites and a wallmart close by:B We enjoyed it and I bet you will also. Larry
  • Have not been to Defeated Creek. But a group where we live go there at least once a year.
Seams every time they go. We are someplace else.
