- WTTCSExplorerLook at Goose Island state park. Right on the water, with water. elec. Cant be beat if you want on the water. You fish from your front or rear bumper. However there aint no beach to swim in there. But Rockport has a nice beach and its a nice drive of about 8 miles to get there.
- tatestExplorer IIAlso depends on what you mean by campground. On Mustang Island, there are campgrounds right on the beach, but they are campgrounds, not FHU.
If you want FHU, then you are looking for a RV park (down there they tend to say "resort") and they are not right on the beach, but a short walk to the beach, in some cases a boardwalk to take you over the dunes.
Lots of camping out on the sand at Padre Island, but no RV parks on the beach. - Sooner_SchoonerExplorerWe really enjoyed Sandpiper RV Resort in Galveston.
- Executive45Explorer IIIDepends on what you consider "beachfront"...Pioneer and Gulf Waters are beachfront but IIRC, you take about a million stairs to get to it...only "beachfront"s I know of do not have full hook ups....Dennis
- Jim_ShoeExplorerThere are 15 to 20 CGs on the barrier islands (Mustang and Padre) off Corpus Christi. Since the islands are only about a mile wide, they're pretty much all oceanfront. I've been there, but not in an RV. I was living on an aircraft carrier at the time. :) Most are reviewed on 'RV Park Reviews'.
- MichDocExplorerPioneer and Gulf Waters in Port Aransas....both nice, but Pioneer is a bit cheaper. Goose Island State Park has sites right on the beach. You can also dry camp on the beach all up and down both Mustang Island, and Padre Island, just south of Corpus Christi.
Further north is Magnolia Beach, where you can dry camp on the beach as well. Right across the road from Magnolia Beach is Ocean Side RV Park, which has full hookups, but no showers or public toilets, so you need to be self contained.
