On the trip up from FL stop in Lexington....I would stay at Kentucky Horse Park....the RV park (in my opinion one of the nicest RV parks around) and if possible leave time to go to the Ky Horse Park museum and horse shows. It's right next door....same property. Kids will love it if they like horses.
On a side note.....for church history....you might want to ride over to Paris, Ky. Just a few miles east of Paris on Cane Ridge rd. is the Cane Ridge Revival location and the original log church where it started. Not alot to see.....but a nice ride over and back and nice to say you went there. :-)
