My Old Kentucky Home in Bardstown, Ky. Campground there.
Bourbon Trail through north central Ky. Probably close enough to Cincy you won’t need to camp. - If you're willing to divert a bit off the direct route between St Louis and Cincinnati, just a bit north off of I-72 at Monticello IL is Allerton Park. Beautiful gardens. Be sure to take a walk thru the paths to see all the statues. 1500 acres. Now owned by the UofI.

There's a small county park and campground less than 10 miles west.
