  • Agree with gbopp. Where else can you find fresh buffalo steak and live trout in a tank where you can pick the one you like and they'll dress it for you. They have a large section with nothing but hot sauce. Must be 100 varieties. Wear comfortable shoes.
  • As others have stated, the time of day is the thing. I have always traveled straight thru Cincy rather than going around. Used to travel it in a semi and now with my 5er. Good Luck and Safe Travels.
  • Time of Day!!!!! We always go straight on I 75. 9:30 AM until 4:00 pm. After 7:00PM until 5:30 AM.

You need to watch the signs or your GPS to be in the correct lanes!!!!
  • We travel through a couple times a month from Dayton and we almost always use 75. The only time that's a real problem is Fri during rush hour. There is a section of 45 MPH but generally only a 10-15 minute dalay and using 275 is going to be longer than that. Then sometimes you have accidents and breakdowns so best to check traffic before choosing a route.
  • I live there. Take I-275E around. I-75 thru carries a lot of truck traffic 24-7. And the Brent Spence Bridge is a disaster. Its falling apart. Southbound, there's a long, steep uphill as soon as you leave the bridge. I-275W is 20 miles longer than I-275E.

Which is better I-75 through or I-275 around??

Depends on time of day. Kinda like any City, I'd avoid downtown during rush hours. For Ciny, if you are towing a larger rig, there are some tight turns (edit: the turns I'm thinking of are on 71 not 75) just on the north side of the Ohio River, and the Stadium/riverfront area might be congested on game days.

My most recent trip through Cincy was a couple of weeks ago and I went around because I knew the Reds were playing at home. It is probably shorter mileage wise to go straight through.
