You only need to know one word in Quebecois, "tabernac" LOL
There’s a couple from Quebec in the fly-in community I’m in in south central Florida. Much to his wife’s chagrin it’s a pretty common word in Henri’s vocabulary.
One day some of the kids were over looking at the planes and Henri stood up in the wrong spot and gave himself a pretty knock on his head. The word came out very load and clearly.
Of course none of the kids understood it, so one of them asked his wife what he said.
I can still hear her reply. “Tabernacle dear, he was asking for God’s help.”.

Has anyone read the CAA poll done on snowbirding sentiment (Dateline: Sept 10th) ?
"More than half (54%) of respondents think they will probably travel next winter. Those who own property in sunny destination spots (about half of all snowbirds) are even more inclined to go."
....read the whole enchilada here-> - LwiddisExplorer IIEnough with speculative gloom and doom!

It is what you encounter when you get when you gain enough altitude, summer or winter.
No snide remarks about being able to gain enough altitude in a 172, LOL. - C-172-AV8RExplorerWhat is -degree temperature. :h
- Beverley_KenExplorerWell maybe. " In the not too distant future they may not want to go south."
In the near future, end of January Feb with daytime high temperature of -20c (-4f) while shovelling the 2 feet of new snow, I'll definitely be thinking of FL, TX or Arizona.
Ken - LwiddisExplorer IIHopefully only one winter.
- CFergusonExplorerI understand a little French, but it played no part in my understanding the cartoon and sympathizing with our Canadian Snowbird friends. Hope to see you all next year!
