The first would be the very unfriendly reception that we received upon arrival. We entered the office with smiles even though we were weary from 500+ mile trip. The host was Debbie and no matter how hard my husband and I tried, she would not give us a friendly welcome. Putting that aside we checked in.
Our second issue came when we were told that yes they do take credit cards but we have to pay the 3% fee unless we pay with cash or check. The fee for one nights stay with water and electric only, wasn't the lowest or the highest fee that is quoted in the app, it was $38 for water & electric only, which was above the rates that were quoted. In my usage of the app, we have always found that the low is for tent, medium w&e, and the highest for full hookup. Not the case when it came to this campground.
Our third issue was, the listing started that they had WiFi, which would have given us the opportunity to check out our emails and social network. After I tried for over an hour to connect, I called the office. Debbie informed me at that time, that no they don't currently have WiFi. If this, on top of the other two issues, would have been revealed to us, we would have opted to leave and find other accommodations down the road.
