Having been the target of a false accusation on trip advisor, I would have to say any Internet review site should be taken with a large grain of salt.
Hopefully you used your right to rebuttal to help amend the situation.
I use Trip Advisor for hotel reviews and used RV Park Reviews/RV Net for campgrounds. ALL reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. If most of the reviews fall in one area and you get one or two on either end (i.e. very good or very bad), then chances are the one that's very good is just a promo and the one that was very bad is someone who is never satisfied. I generally look at how many of each classification there are and work from there. I do find Trip Advisor to be very accurate, though.
