wachalcooche state park off I-75 exit 301 had 18 sites open

Wife and I took ride over to silver lake to see who was fishing. There were about 18 sites open. It's first come first serve 25.00 a night. 5 miles off I-75 exit 301 Florida. Nice park. Wachalcooche state forest.

Just left there fishing. There were 34 sites open.

Just to be clear, you are speaking of the Silver Lake Recreation Area in the Withlacooche State Forest. It is not a FL state park and is managed by a different agency than the state parks. No reservations accepted, and it usually does fill on weekends.
