Wal-Marts Along I-85 South of Atlanta

There are some things you should know about.
First is RVParky. It exists as both a website and an app. Very easy to use.
Second, if you are running a navigator, go the Discovery owners website and collect the Walmart and ONP (Over Night Parking) overlays.
Last, in the Yahoo Groups is a Walmart section.

DO NOT PARK OVERNIGHT IN UNION CITY!

High crime rate, poor police protection, and just a bad area to be in.

According to RV Parky both the Walmarts in Union City and Newnan permit overnight parking.

This App is great to find them and other places to stay along your route.

Allstays is one of my favorite sites and the above link is good for overnight parking. There is a nice welcome center on I-185 north of Columbus that is lightly used and allows overnighting if going that way.
There is a Cracker Barrel in Newman but it usually costs me $20 to stay at one of their stores.

GOOGLE says this for GEORGIA WALMARTS... Check the store via email probably for best results...

Oops the directions I gave were south bound out of Atlanta- Left onto Lafayette prkway if northbound.

Not sure if they allow camping at Newnan or Union City.

Walmart at exit 18 LaGrange one hour south of Atlanta. Right at exit ramp onto lafayette Parkway. Proceed about 3 miles to intersection with US 27. Turn right and proceed north about 2 miles to Walmart on left. There is a new Walmart opening on Lafayette parkway in a few weeks which is even closer to Interstate but as of yesterday the access was still closed to that store.
