I am leaving next week for Yuma, we are hoping this nice weather holds up for us. We are thinking we can beat it to Las Vegas by the 25th. I will pull as many miles as I can each day just so I can beat it.
We will be up the road in Quartzite next week, can't wait. Since we live a little north of Tucson we haven't been suffering the effects of old man winter all that much. The drought is killing us and there is no rain in the next ten day forecast. Most of the snow has melted from Mt Lemon and it has been in the low 70's for several weeks. Given what the rest of the country has gone through so far Arizona is still looking pretty good. :B
It's been low to mid 70s here in Fountain Hills. No wind or precipitation. Looks like it will be the same for at least the next 10 days. Locals say AZ needs the rain. But my old bones are enjoying the weather. In the last week, I've mountain biked two days and hiked three and snoozed it the sun the other two. Life just doesn't get any better.
OP, with lows in the 40's every night not sure how you can say "the warmest place in the continental USA all winter." With highs only in the 60's to mid 70's until this week, you need to compare it to south Florida where our lows are much the same as your highs. Good try though.
