Many states do work that way, we were staying at a Nevada State Park, and were told that we could visit other state parks without paying an additional fee. The only problem is that we only had one receipt for our RV that needed(?) to stay with the RV in the CG, and we toured in our towed vehicle. I was able to do a bit of fast talking to avoid the fee. The gate keeper really didn't have a solution.
I'm still not sure about the $6.50 v $8.00 difference? Perhaps the Reservation Rates were increased? Imagine that.
