Welton or Yuma area 1 night stop over RV park?

Arizona Sands RV Park in Yuma, that is where we stay for the night.

They have flat pull trough sites, call ahead it can be full some times depending on the time of the year.

Last time I was in Wellton a few year ago) there was a crack down on people dry camping in the area on the west side of the road. They evidently ignored campers on the east side, as there were many there. Another consideration is if you arrive after dark; do you feel confident enough to maneuver your rig over sandy ground dotted with scattered bushes and other plant life?

I've stayed at Tierdrop RV Park numerous times, usually for the whole winter. It's a decent enough place and owners are nice.It's easy to reach off of the Interstate. If you're travelling from the east be prepared to make a quick left turn as soon as you turn right from the ramp. There isn't much to do in Wellton, but it does have amenities such as a library, two grocery stores and some eateries. Of course, Yuma is only a few miles to the west.
BTW, there's a very new RV park just east of Wellton. It was just opening up when I was in the area a couple of years ago. I don't remember the name, but maybe you can find it on the Internet.

What you are referring to are the berms that are between the rows. It is against the rules to even walk on them, let alone drive over them. Have been in this park for five years and really like the large spaces and friendly folks.

Just a few miles east of Welton in Tacna there is a nice RV park, Copper Mountain. Nice amenities and folks there at very reasonable prices. This place is huge with all pull throughs. It is located about half a mile south of I-8, you can see it from the freeway. Look for the large American and Canadian flags.

We have overnighted there several times and unlike Welton it does not have the distinct aroma of the large dairy operation...

Try the Wellton Burrito Factory attached to the Chevron gas station in Wellton. We stop there every time we go to San Diego.

We stayed at Tier drop RV park a couple years ago for one night. Nothing fancy but certainly pleasant enough! I'd stay there again.
